Puerto Venecia

Orion entered into this opportunity to acquire a 50% interest in major retail complex that was under construction and 60% pre-leased, but works and funding had stopped. In joint venture with British Land the 117,070 sqm Puerto Venecia project was completed and opened in with great success winning multiple awards as shopping and leisure complex. Anchor tenants include Ikea, Decathlon, Leroy Merlin, and an Apple Store. Orion purchased the 50% interest of British Land and subsequently successfully sold the entire complex to Intu Properties plc in 2015.
